Leeds joined CMD in November 2000, bringing a wealth of knowledge and successful business experience to the company. Prior to CMD, he served on the board and as CFO of Compass International Services Corporation, subsequently purchased by the NCO Group, Inc. Previously, he served as chairman and CEO of National Credit Management Corporation. Leeds has been an investor and board member of several young companies, and has served as the CFO of two publicly traded companies. He was president and CEO of The Park Avenue Bank, and spent more than 20 years with Marine Midland Bank in both New York City and London as executive vice president of the international division. Leeds graduated with a BS from Babson College and later studied at the New York University Graduate School of Business Administration. Leeds formerly served on the Board of Overseers of Babson College.
President and Chief Executive Officer
Russ is a 30-year veteran of the call center management industry with a focus on improving customer service in higher education. He is the visionary behind CMD and is continually searching for new and better ways to solve problems for clients. Prior to founding CMD in 1999, Russ served as senior vice president of operations at Compass International Services Corp. where he guided the design, implementation and operation of major call centers throughout the nation. Previously, he was a vice president with CSC Credit Services (a division of Computer Sciences Corporation) in Houston, Texas, where he managed CSC’s 32 call centers around the country over a 6-year period. Russ spent the first 12 years of his career with Equifax Services in Seattle, Washington, where his last assignment was managing the Washington region. He is a member of the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers (EACUBO). Russ serves as Board Chair of Central Scholarship, a Maryland-based non-profit organization that helps students in Maryland realize their academic and professional goals through interest-free loans and grants to attend accredited institutions within the United States. Russ also served for 8 years on the board of Unified Community Connection (Unified) (6 years as Vice-Chair) and currently serves as a non-board committee member. In November 2012, Russ was recognized by the Maryland chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals as an ‘Unsung Hero’ for his work with Unified through his annual event Hoodstock Music Festival. In 2011, Russ was appointed to the Financial Sustainability Advisory Committee of Maryland’s Health Benefit Exchange. One of Russ’ pastimes is playing in the band Roses n Rust. He studied business management at Century College.
Senior Vice President – Sales
David joined CMD in November of 2005 and is responsible for the company’s sales and marketing efforts. Prior to CMD, he spent 15 years with Sallie Mae®, the nation’s largest provider of financial services to the higher education community. His last assignment with Sallie Mae was Managing Director of Ecommerce in Sallie Mae’s higher education outsourcing group, Campus Solutions. David received a BS degree, with a concentration in finance, from the University of Kentucky and an Information Technology Certificate from the University of Virginia. David is a member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO).
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Prior to founding CMD in 1999, Vicky served as CFO of National Credit Management Corporation. Previously, Vicky was active in middle-market mergers and acquisitions as a consultant with Executive Sounding Board, Ltd. Prior to relocating to the mid-Atlantic in 1987, Vicky was Vice President – Finance for Texian Inns in San Antonio, Texas. She began her career with Chemical Bank in New York, and later joined the Bankers Trust Company, where she was a vice president in their National Banking Group’s Chicago office. Vicky has been active in the entrepreneurial community through her work with the Greater Baltimore Technology Council, the MIT Enterprise Forum of Washington-Baltimore and as an advisor to the Technology Advancement Program at the University of Maryland College Park. Vicky is a member of Leadership Maryland’s class of 2006. She served on the Board of Visitors of the University Of Maryland School of Nursing from 2006 to 2014. She received her BA from Harvard University in 1978.
